Paper Theater Curtain - Ruby by EveyD Paper Theater Curtain - Ruby by EveyD
I'm a big fan of antique Toy Theaters also known as Paper Theaters or Model Theaters.
My favorite part of any toy theater are the paper curtains since they can be used to create
a fun digital staged scene using a variety of other images.

I digitally altered several of my favorite paper curtain images from the 1800's to give me a
wider variety of colors and thought I'd share them with you guys too. Here is one of them for you to enjoy.

The original this was based on can be seen here -

Your curtains are spectacular. Here's what I want to do--it seems commercial but it sort of isn't. My best friend just opened up a bakery in downtown Birmingham in the theater district which B'ham is trying to revitalize. I want to take the figure from her existing logo and put curtains around it (figure with scythe and wheat quiver). Her bakery is her livelihood, but she is a local food kind of gal, also a musician. The new bakery has an accordian and a piano in it, and people can play for lunch. I would really like to use your curtains, but I feel like it borders on commercial and not fair use. So I will let you decide if it's OK or not! Here is a link to her place:…
I've always done her design work just for good will. What do you think?

Hey nellieruby - I don't check my dA account but a few times a year (as I show on my profile page) which is why it's taken me a while to see your message.
I don't have an issue with you using the curtain in the way you have requested.
